Eugenio Borgognoni

Research assistant

Eugenio Borgognoni is a recent graduate in European and Global Studies from the Department of Political Science, Law and International Studies at the University of Padova.

He wrote his master thesis examining the European Commission’s approach to unemployment benefits, investigating the impacts of the European Semester on national social policy following the 2008 financial crisis, alongside an analysis of the history of the European Employment Strategy.

His research interests encompass social, labour, and economic policies, with a focus on the multi-level governance of the EU and its implications at the national level.
